Chemo treatment #5 today – another dose of VinCristine. The past week was good with no bad side effects from last week’s treatment. A bit of nausea, but Julia ate bland foods (lots of plain pasta, toast and peanut butter) and got through it. All of her blood counts were good today so she will be able to go back to school this week for a few days and see all of her friends. She is so excited. The doctors have also scheduled her scans for this Friday so we should have some definative answers by the next clinic visit (Tuesday) on how the tumor is responding to treatment. We should also find out if surgery will be scheduled or if she will be going through another round of chemo before they remove the tumor and her kidney.
